Great Melton 63 Hethersett
S.C. 80.
Rink 1 - 1 D.Perrin.
2 E.Cockerill.
Skip N.Sutton.
Result – a defeat - 17 to 18
A nearly win; Hethersett changed skips & changed the game on end 14. A
good effort but disappointed not to have won.
Rink 2 - 1 R Bolton.
2 L.Moroney.
Skip D.Minter.
Result – lost - 14 to 22.
Hethersett just managed to keep their noses in front.
Very close until end 16, when H.S.C. just pulled ahead.
Rink 3 1
M.Corbett.
2 D.Gregory.
Skip J.Huckle.
Result – defeat - 13 to 19.
Nip & tuck until end 14 when H.S.C. started to pull
ahead, finishing with a 6-point lead.
Rink 4 1
C.Starr.
2 R.Cockerill.
Skip P.Markham.
Result – a narrow defeat - 19 to 20
Another so close, but not to be; were ahead until end 19.
A very good effort.
Probably our best result against the Social Club. Perhaps
we are getting used to only using 2 woods and a roving
cott ( jack - if you’re not from Norfolk.) Great Melton
is the only friendly fixture they play now. We give them
a good game, played as it should be.

was the best I have seen it.
I think the evening was a credit to Hethersett P.F.
